Swoosh

Swoosh Is Back!

Basketball is a beloved sport to many across the North Slope of Alaska. Since 2009, ASTAC has hosted a free throw competition each fall in the eight residential villages it serves, called Swoosh. This family-friendly event brings communities together for an evening of basketball and has allowed ASTAC to engage with our members in a fun and personable way.
Congratulations to JEREMY SIMMONDS of Atqasuk! You our 13th Annual Swoosh Competition Grand Prize Winner - A trip for two to the NCAA Men’s Final Four tournament in Houston, TX. All North Slope Borough residents are eligible to participate and need not be an ASTAC member.
